& Why Intentional Living?
After struggling with my mental health in teenagehood, the suppression of it turned into anxiety in my 20’s.
I was stuck living on auto-pilot, I wasn’t aware of my thoughts, actions or feelings and I didn’t even know I could change them. I identified all of them with “me”. I was living with anxiety, stuck in victim mentality and people-pleasing. I spent most of my weekends drinking and socialising in order to ‘forget’, and when I didn’t have that to look forward to, I booked travel to escape through ‘exploring the world’.
Then I learnt how to connect to my mind and body. I did this through yoga initially, practising in my living room every day to YouTube, but I showed up with consistency and dedication. I began a journey of self-awareness, which I did by becoming more present, being brave to ask the deeper questions and answering them honestly, and by putting myself out my comfort zone and trying new things to discover more about connection and spirituality.
When I became aware of my thoughts and I learnt how to transform them in order to transform my life. When my thoughts changed, my life changed.
I got to feel at peace just being present, in love with who I am and my life and connected and trusting in something greater than just me, I flow through life with more grace, presence and ease.
Today I bring all these elements inside my retreats and programmes: physical yoga practise to move and reconnect with your body and feel energised, breath and meditation, self-development workshops for self-awareness, emotional regulation and goal setting providing all the tools that have helped me over the past 10 years, journaling and 1-1 work to ask yourself the deeper questions.
You will get to embrace sisterhood and community so you won’t feel alone in your journey, hearing the stories and journeys from other women will help you feel inspired and reassured, because the people you surround yourself with in a growing chapter is everything.
My studies not only include physical asana practise training, but Bhakti Yoga teacher trainings too which enabled me to gain a deeper understanding of yoga roots and how to hold devotional love in our hearts. I taught asana practise for over 5 years in studios and privately with women before launching the Intentional Living Community, which has served almost 100 women across the world and changed the lives of women who have applied and learnt the simple tools I teach.
My mission is simple: to help women see they’re not stuck as they are, that change is possible anytime, and that they have the power to heal themselves.
